I was in the city today firstly to observe the diversions of the bus routes and to check out the Street circuit which would play host to Porsches, Formula BMW cars and most importantly, Formula 1 cars. However, i had to attend school first.

I attended school and all seems normal. I received my prelim exam results and it was quite impressive (L1R4: 10 - 14) but not satisfying enough. I felt that i could do better and with renewed vigour, i am now going to shift to Top Gear and speed to the O Level Exams.

After school, i took my godfather's bus to the city and alighted at Dhoby Ghaut where i took another bus to City Hall. I transfered to the free bridging service and rode the bus till Suntec City.

I walked into Marina Square and i saw a F1 car. It was cool to get up-close and personal to one of those screaming machines since i have interest in Formula 1 and Cars. A match made in heaven you might say.

Then, i went into the street circuit. It was open to public pedestrians to utillize but not the whole circuit was open. The main straight that passes the pit building was cordoned off. So, i walked pass Singapore Flyer and rejoined at Marina Centre Terminus. I followed the circuit to Esplanade Bridge and then Padang. I took quite alot of pictures as these sceneries are not what you witness everyday and are unique at this time of year. It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete the walk and to be honest, it was the most thrilling moment of my life. I had never been on a street circuit or any racetrack of any sort. This was my first time i ever stepped onto a street circuit and walk on it.

Well, let's talk about the other things now. The traffic was horrible thanks to the diversion. Many people were confused and had no idea where to go as the Esplanade Bridge and Nicoll Highway was cordoned off for the race. Bus services were badly affected as their headway was not long enough to cope with the diversion and partly due to the bad traffic conditions.

I am looking forward for the main event. I believe there will be drama during the event. Well, who knows? Let's just sit back and watch what happens.

My dad have given me a pair of tickets to the qualifying day! I am going to the circuit tomorrow with victortky. We will be at the Stamford Grandstand, near the Suntec Convention Centre.

The tickets were not cheap. They cost $1000 each for my grandstand for 3 days. Since my dad only got the Saturday tickets which was given to him by his company as compliment, the tickets are worth $300+. I thank HIM for this moment in my life.
